"I did worry for the lack of a hat," says Aramis, mostly to fill his own flustered silence at the look on Athos' face as he is examined. He breaks into a wide smile of his own, and whatever tangle lies between the three of them of late, in this moment Aramis also feels simple, uncomplicated joy for the compliment, and he bows slightly in acceptance.

"We haven't yet seen you in full effect," he reminds Athos, reaching for Athos' own waistcoat to help him into. "I chose these steely blues for a reason. You will turn heads, if not break hearts."
