Aramis has never seen more of Thomas than an old, destroyed portrait, but there's no questioning the resemblance between this spectre and the man at Aramis' back. Aramis tilts his head and calls up, "Porthos!" He hates to bring the man down here with his injuries, but this is a task for all three of them.

He ignores Athos' previous command and says, "You are needed," before turning back to Athos.

"What does he want?" he asks. "Athos, what do we do?"
