The demon wearing Thomas' face lies bloody on the ground, and Aramis takes his first full breath in ages, his hands all but cramped around his sword as he waited those perilous few moments. Not even a demon could outmatch Athos with a blade, but even Athos' nerve could falter in such a trial - Aramis is glad to see it done, and even moreso, glad that Athos has found the courage to silence his tormentor.
